April 1
Happy All Fool's Day! April starts off with a lot of tension. Don't let the crusty Moon in Capricorn fool you; it is the culprit.The morning will find a mental restlessness and irritability in the air. The afternoon hours will be the best part of this day where the urge to break out will be strong. If you can leave work early, I suggest you get out a play. Relationship problems will surface in the evening and get pretty bad by about 8 PM as the Moon reaches the 3rd Quarter. The usual Friday night enthusiasm will wear out by about 11PM, so plan on an early night. Today will be only a 4 because it's Friday (or it would be lower).
April 2
People will still be a bit worn out from yesterday that they will be looking to crank up the amperage. After a slow, cranky morning, enthusiasm will slowly pick up until it peaks about 7 PM. The Moon in Capricorn will help dampen the fun somewhat, but will also help keep a lid on things. Still, expect the unexpected today. This day only gets a 6 because of the sometimes difficult mix.
April 3
The Moon moves into the electrifying sign of Aquarius about 1:30 AM which may make it difficult to sleep if you stayed up late. Today the explosive Pluto and the erratic Uranus have no connections that help stabilize them, so sudden and unexpected occurrences will likely happen. Mental energy will be very high today in general. Watch for conflict and irritability in the evening. All in all, not a bad day so today gets a 6.
April 4
Most of the obvious connections of the Moon occur in the middle of the night, so our dreams are likely to be lively. Upon awakening, we may remember our dreams, or at least see vivid images. Again, enthusiasm will be high because of the prominent placement of Jupiter that lasts all the way through the month. Jupiter's ability to jack up energy will slowly diminish as the month progresses, so take advantage now. In the evening, some amount of emotional upset is to be expected, but short lived. Today is another 6.
April 5
The moon moves into the fluid sign of Pisces just prior to awakening. Venus makes a pleasing connection to Neptune, the ruler of Pisces, making this a wonderful day for daydreaming about a new love, your current love, or the endless possibilities for new relationships. It may be difficult to get down to concrete work as the day progresses, but it is a great day to look beyond the ordinary. By about 7:45 PM be prepared for sudden, unexpected changes in mood and sudden, impulsive actions. If you need to get down to work, it will be a 5. If you don't, it will be a 7.
April 6
The day starts off without much planetary interference one way or another. As we get into the afternoon, business will be getting a boost from a good placement of Saturn. The Sun will make an excellent connection to Neptune soon after, preparing us for some nice early evening hours. However, by about 10 PM, emotions may feel stifled and people may feel uneasy and secretive. Because of the mix, today gets a 5-6.
April 7
As people arrive at work, the Moon moves into the forceful sign of Aries. Be careful driving, particularly in the morning. It will take a few hours for people to adjust to the new, more spontaneous energy. For the majority of the day, communication will be quick and sharp. Mental energy will abound. However, make sure that you think before you speak because the Aries Moon right before a Solar Eclipse (tomorrow afternoon) can bring confusion and muddled thinking. Today gets a 7 because of the up tempo energy.
April 8
This is a very busy astrological day. When we awake, things will be different. Enthusiasm and the desire or need for action will be very high, particularly in the morning. I suggest you get as much finished as you can then because as the afternoon gets rolling Neptune will bring visions for better or worse, of the new energy cycle starting in a few hours. The Solar Eclipse in Aries at 4:32 PM EST really brings the new energy cycle of the new astrological year that recently began at the Spring Equinox to a real jumping off point. By this I mean that things can now really get started anew (see the April Monthly Forecast in this issue for more). By early evening, irritation and judgmental attitudes may make it more difficult to relate emotionally to others. Close to 9 PM things will smooth out and make it easier to balance our temperaments. This makes it a good time for romance and just plain fun for the rest of the evening. Most of today will be pretty good, so I give it a 7 even if there is quite a mix.
April 9
Today is likely to be a very nice, low-keyed , but enjoyable one. The only astrological event is the Moons entrance into the placid, solid, and mellow sign of Taurus around noon. Since the new Moon cycle has just begun yesterday, it is advisable that we just make this a fun-filled day. After all, it is Saturday! It is a good time to persist at any of the enjoyable projects we are working on--just don't get hung up on finishing any business matters. Today should be real nice energetically if you let it be, so I'll give it an 8.
April 10
Today as we arise, there may be thoughts regarding our financial affairs. This may not be the usual thing to think about on Sunday morning. If you listen to yourself about what needs to be done, you can still have a leisurely breakfast or brunch, and then let the increased anxiety of the late afternoon spur you on to take care of things. Action and vision will move you towards evening. As the day closes the sense of accomplishment will come if you did what your heart told you to do today. The reason today gets a 5 is because it is Sunday, or it would be worse.
April 11
Favorable Moon positions in the morning hours will bring yesterdays sense of accomplishment and your progressing mental outlook today into alignment. The Moon will move into the restless and adaptable sign of Gemini at about 7 PM setting the stage for increased mental activity tomorrow. It may be a bit difficult to sleep tonight if you have a lot on your mind. Calcium and Magnesium are a good combination to help calm the mind enough to sleep. I think our dreams will be full tonight. Today gets a 6 if you are generally tranquil or a 5 if you are the nervous type.
April 12
Mercury goes direct (forward) again after 3 weeks of seeming lack of mental progress. I hope you have been revamping your plans lately, because things will be moving forward again. Because the Moon is still in the rapidly moving Gemini, things will move forward quickly. By early afternoon it will seem that a lot has changed and we will need to catch up a bit. By early evening, enthusiasm will be back and peace and domestic tranquility will be evident. Today should be nice so it gets a 6 or 7.
April 13
Your dreams will likely have been much more pleasant than lately, which will give you a clearer vision of what needs to be done. Your visions for the future will drive the days energy commitments leaving most of us feeling that we are on the right track as the work day finishes in late afternoon. Some domestic or relationship upsets may start off the evening, so I suggest that you watch your temperament for sudden outbursts and take care to not act too hastily. The early part of the day gets a 7 and later it drops to a 5 or 6.
April 14
About 5 AM the Moon moves into the emotional but often crusty sign of Cancer. If you wake up feeling a bit defensive or irritated, that is part of the reason. The Moon will make an annoying connection Mercury as most people get to work by 9 AM. The majority of the rest of the day will be an exercise in learning to deal with the irritation of others. If you were successful at it, your reward will be an increasingly more pleasant evening. If you fail, there is always tomorrow! Today is a 4 for the most part.
April 15
Tax Day - TGIF. Jupiter makes a poor connection to the Moon in the morning making it hard to get the enthusiasm up to work and to get our taxes out to the Post Office by 5:00 PM. What is interesting is that Venus goes into the financial sign of Taurus at 4:37 PM, just in time to make the mail drop off. Expect long lines if you waited till the last minute. The evening looks very good all the way till bed time as a sense of accomplishment, tax or otherwise, takes over. Generally, it will not be a great day, but I'll give it a 5.
April 16
Important long-range, personal and business matters will require action on your part today. The good part is that if you choose the correct solutions, both will move forward where karmic relationships and long-held dreams will come to pass in the near future. On the down side, you will not likely see the if you have made the right choices for awhile. I suggest you act with total integrity regarding both home and business issues today. In general, the energy will be pushing you to action even if things feel difficult and their is conflict between partners. By late evening, communications will improve, and things will look better all around. Today only gets a 5, because of the potential for conflict.
April 17
Today should be a day for having fun, even if you have to work. The Moon is in the upbeat and dramatic sign of Leo and the enthusiasm will be high. Business matters will still look a bit shaky, but relationships will come to a head for better or worse, as the Moon approaches an opposition with the illusive Neptune. I suggest you try not to take things too seriously today. This is an astrologically slow day (very often a "good" thing). I give it a 7-8.
April 18
Artists will find inspiration and the energy to produce today. Others may lack clear vision but an urge to move on things particularly by late morning and through the afternoon. If you feel like escaping from reality, and avoiding work, you will not be alone. Minor outbursts of anger and impatience will be short lived during the evening. This is the last day of Aries so there may be a sense of frustration about what was not accomplished. Just let it go and look towards the Taurus time to help you persist in your chosen directions. Today is a 7 for artists, and a 6 for others.
April 19
The emotional Moon moves into the organized sign of Virgo as the Sun rises, starting the day with a good dose of reality. This can manifest differently depending on how well you have been attending to the business of your daily life. As the day wears on and the Sun approaches Taurus (7:37 PM), those who have done well in Aries will begin gaining a momentum and staying power that will help carry them through the next month. If you have avoided trying to handle the intense energy released since the Solar Eclipse on April 8, you will likely feel in a tailspin. As the day ends, the Moon, as well as the release of a Mars/Saturn inconjunct will help relieve some of the tension and lack of understanding that may be evident earlier in the day. Relationships will generally flow easily today(at least we won't have to worry about that too). Overall, it is a hard day to give a number to, because so much depends on what you have done in the past--you give it one!
April 20
We will arise with the need to organize and throw extraneous things and people from our life. This is left over from late last night when the Moon opposed Uranus filling our dreams with images that can be interpreted as the need to "let go". For some, that may only mean getting up in the middle of the night to relieve oneself. For others, it is the urge to get organized and get our life together. Today is a great day for getting out in the fresh air (if the weather permits) and getting back to nature. Business will move along smoothly, so we don't need to push things, just let the unfolding day put everything in its proper place. We just have to let it. Today should be a decent 7.
April 21
When we arise, there may be tension in the air from last night's difficult Moon connection, but it will wear away quickly if we get some last minute things in order. At about 3:30 PM the Moon will move into the social sign of Libra. This may first bring a shakiness to the late afternoon, but we will get through it quickly leaving the rest of the day without any disruptive or difficult Moon connections to contend with. It should be a decent, and talkative evening. Today gets another 7.
April 22
Earth Day 2005 - There is a karmic element to the energy today. Some folks will find their true calling, and embark on a life-long endeavor. Most of us will find an enthusiasm that for some may seem exaggerated. Jupiter and the Moon are in a very fortunate alignment that can bring good health and optimism, and revive our generous spirit. The only problem I can foresee is that some people are going to be extremely animated and may have trouble keeping on an even keel especially since the Moon is in the waffling sign of Libra. For most people today should be a 6-7.
April 23
In the early morning, we may feel a bit lazy and not inclined to do any work. Since it is Saturday, that is ok for most of us. By a little after noon, the Moon makes good connections to Pluto and Mars, so making strides in our chosen directions should be easy, especially for moving on long-range plans. By about 1 PM, Venus and Uranus are in a favorable connection. In most cases this will help with our relationships by lending a sense of sparkle to them. For the more erratic relationships, this will tend to create even more unsteadiness temporarily. By about 10:30 PM, the Moon will enter the intense Scorpio, possibly making it a sensual ending to date-night, or on the other hand, the possibility that partners will withhold their affections. Sometimes the transition into Scorpio can bring a bitchiness, or help create irrational behavior, so watch out for it. All and all, today should be pretty good, so I'll give it a 6-7.
April 24
Passover - This is not a great day for concentrating on business, especially in the morning. However, it is Sunday, so it's probably not what most people are doing anyway. This is a much better day for relationships in general. Today's Solar Eclipse will bring revelation and illumination regarding finances and intimate relationships. Business will take a back seat as it has lately. I suggest you spend some time contemplating the meaning of the messages you will receive today and have been getting for a few days now. Watch out for some moodiness and emotional distancing in the early evening. This could be a great day for those who have received positive messages and a poor day for those who have not. The range will be great so, I'll let you decide what number today is!
April 25
This should be a very good business day, especially in the late morning an early afternoon. Take advantage of it because you won't see it again until Friday. As the work day ends today, irritability and short-tempered, intense flare-ups will be evident and continue throughout the evening. Try not to let things get out of hand regarding your temper, especially if you are prone to outbursts anyway. Today gets a 6 because of the mix.
April 26
The Moon moves into the restless sign of Sagittarius during the middle of the night, so we will wake up to a sense of wanting to move on things quickly. However, business concerns will move to the background again today. Communicating will get progressively easier as the day wears on. Please apologize for your argumentative behavior last night! By late this evening, things will smooth out if you don't let the potentially disruptive energy get the best of you. Today is only a 5.
April 27
Secretary's Day - Yet another day of poor business movement. People will continue to be overly sensitive and defensive as has been the general underlying emotional energy lately. Indecision and vacillation will be very evident today, so I suggest you not try to make any big decisions until later in the week when the energy will be more conducive to making up your mind and sticking with your decisions. A good day for taking some form of action towards your long-range goals. All and all it will likely be a so-so day, getting only a 5 again.
April 28
When you wake up, the Moon will have moved into the cautious and calculating sign of Capricorn. Business will still be in the background. Regardless, it will be a good day for pushing things that way. If you do push it, you will catch the positive momentum of the next few days which can propel you forward rapidly. Business concerns will move forward anyway later in the week, but you will get even further by applying pressure now. Throughout the day, opportunities to act definitively will present themselves. By evening, a sense of accomplishment will be yours if you persist today. By late evening, enthusiasm will have dwindled, but for most, it will be time to retire for the day anyway. This may be a bit uncomfortable, but good day, so it gets a 6-7.
April 29
Today should be a good day for culminating business activities for the week. Really push things today, especially regarding business and/or your personal life. You will have to watch out for sudden, explosive outbursts. If people flare up at you, take it in stride, and keep persisting. You will see how well you have done this week by the early evening. Lately, there has been a lot of karmic activity. Your path has been shown to you, and lit up. You just need to keep moving and reaching in the dark when the light temporarily goes out. People will really feel the need to escape this evening, so have fun! Today gets a 7.
April 30
Today is a fitting day for the last day of the month. The Moon will move into the eclectic and unconventional sign of Aquarius about 8 AM. Being a Saturday, I suggest you get away and do things you normally don't do. This should not be too difficult if the weather is nice and you don't have to work. Karmic occurrences will be numerous today, so contemplate on the happenings in order to see what messages you have been given. The last remnants of Mars in Aquarius will be there through most of the day. Mars will move into the more emotional and unfathomable sign of Pisces about 11 PM, until mid June. Mars is about action, desire, struggle, initiative, and assertive energy, in general. Pisces is the most fluid and sensitive sign, with very strong and deep emotions. Mars in Pisces will make much of our activity somewhat undulating, introverted, and susceptible to change, as our feelings change. It also hastens our desire to finish things and prepare for a renewed Mars cycle which starts when Mars moves into it's natural sign of Aries in June. Until then, we may not have as much physical energy. However, the warmer weather will help to mitigate that slowdown tendency. It is important to keep moving forward on your chosen path in spite of any vacillation of energy and desire. Today should be a very nice day, so I give it an 8.
