March 1
The month starts with the Moon in the intense sign of Scorpio, so we will go about our tasks with a depth of emotional passion and forceful concentration. If we have unpleasant tasks to do, we may become resentful and vindictive towards the makers of our misery. During lunch (Eastern Standard Time) the desire to escape will be almost overwhelming due to Neptune’s influence. By the time your break is over a good placement of Mars will give you the energy to resume your work with gusto (or resume your resentment if you so desire). As mid afternoon rolls around, Mercury and Pluto form a difficult connection, fostering mental instability. As the evening takes over things get much better as Saturn nicely brings about an attenuating effect making it a great time to bring order from chaos, and to fruitfully attend to other practical concerns. I’ll give today a 6 out of 10 because of the mixture of difficulty and ease.
March 2
If you are up early enough, you will be able to take advantage of the harmonious connection between your emotions and mentality. The later morning hours will seem a bit more ambiguous until the Moon enters the restless sign of Sagittarius at around 1:30 PM. This active, agitated, fidgety energy will dominate the day. High spirits with the desire to take off on new adventures will be prevalent. I suggest you let your feet take you where you want to go. If your feet can’t take you, let your mind roam where it wants. Aggravating energy will not become too obvious until nearly midnight, so if you are up late, or life on the west coast, a difficult position of Venus can make it more difficult to express emotions adequately. All and all, it should be a fairly pleasant day, so I’d give it a 7.
March 3
The early part of the day up to early afternoon will be much more difficult than later in the day, especially after the 3rd Quarter Moon (Pisces Sun/Sagittarius Moon) at about 12:30 PM. If you get up in the middle of the night, you will find it difficult to communicate. Of course, any day that I get up in the middle of the night I have that trouble! A general lack of enthusiasm will greet you when your alarm goes off. It will even more difficult to get up than usual (unless you are one of those who springs joyously out of bed every morning)! As you leave work after a harrowing day, good connections to Neptune and Jupiter raise the awareness level and smoothes out any grumpy dispositions helping to make it a pleasant evening. I would plan to partake in enjoyable activities. Today only gets a 4.
March 4
Upset, disruption, and communication problems mark the early part of the day. The expression TGIF was made for days like this! As people on the east coast leave work, the Moon will enter the placid, cool, calm, and collected sign of Capricorn. Be careful you don’t snap at anyone as Mercury enters the assertive sign of Aries by about 8:30 PM. The Moon in Capricorn and Mercury in Aries can make for quick, cutting, and caustic verbal assaults if someone crosses you. Watch out for road rage. I have to give this day a 3 only because it is Friday. If it was any other day and it would be a 2.
March 5
Today will be a lot better as the Moon makes favorable connections. Emotions will change rapidly but will nonetheless remain mellow and pleasant overall. There will be an easing of tensions and sense of contentment--very good to have this on a Saturday, particularly if you don’t have to work. As date night gets going, there will be a tendency to be too extravagant--perhaps showing off a bit. If you work for tips, you are likely to do very well tonight. Today is an 8--quite a contrast from yesterday.
March 6
Most of the day will be somewhat nondescript until the Moon enters the electrifying and detached sign of Aquarius at about 6:50 PM. All the tense energy will have occurred in the middle of the night before most of us get up. Only the Saturday night owls will have to suffer through the emotional outbursts and lack of enthusiasm. The rest of us will sleep through it. Sunday evening, energy will pick up a bit making for an all around mellow day, and nice ending to the week. I’ll give it a 6.
March 7
If you are still up after midnight, you may find the communication flows easily. After sunrise, and through to the afternoon, there will be industrious activity. Today one may realize the likely outcomes that will result from the work that has been put in this last year. It will be a very productive day. In the evening, warm-hearted sympathy will overtake our ambitions, and by the time we retire a sense of domestic peace and harmony will lull us to sleep. This day rates only an 8 because it is a Monday. If it were on a weekend or a holiday, it would get a 9.
March 8
The morning hours will be the most productive time today. As the day wears on, energy will gradually get less productive and more dreamy. By the time the Moon enters Pisces about 7:30 PM, sensitive and imaginative visions will have taken over. There is a triple Pisces effect (Sun in Pisces, Moon in Pisces, and last twelfth of the Moon cycle) making it hard to do much else but going with the flow. Don't expect to be successful doing anything productive unless it is along artistic or psychic lines. Today gets a 5 (or an 8 if you are an artist or psychic).
March 9
As people arrive to work about 8 AM, look for unexpected occurrences and emotional tensions to prevail. As the day progresses, romance and a more balanced outlook on life will take over and culminate in the early evening. This is a nice ending for the Moon cycle which begins tomorrow in the early morning. I suggest you bask in the tranquility this evening and get a good nights sleep (it should be easy to do so). It will be a new beginning when you awake. I'll give this day a 7 because most of the day will be quite pleasant.
March 10
The day starts with the New Moon in Pisces at 4:10 AM. This indicates that a sense of letting go will permeate the days activities. Don't try to hang on to anything. Old business will be begging to be dropped in preparation for the next astrological year on the 20th. The early morning hours will be excellent for getting things finished due to favorable positions of Saturn (business) and Mars (action). However, as lunch time approaches, people may sense an emotional uneasiness. Let it gradually wane throughout the afternoon as our ambitions seems to move to a new level. The Moon enters Aries about 9:00 PM, renewing energy and leaving us with the feeling that we can accomplish anything we want. This day deserves an 8.
March 11
The feeling left over from yesterday will get another boost from the joining of the Moon in Aries and Mercury in Aries. Our mind and emotions will be harmonious and in high gear for most of us. Clarity will not be clouded over by any interfering energy. We will easily be able to accomplish today's tasks. Being a Friday, I'll give it a 9--couldn't get much better!
March 12
Even though it's a Saturday, today will be quite a contract from yesterday. Friday night owls who are still up after midnight may experience the feeling that they have met their dream-mate and proceed to show off and make extravagant financial gestures to impress the object of their affections. By early morning, judgmental and impulsive responses will start the day off for most of us. By early to mid afternoon, volatile emotions and quarrelling will be in the air. If you take a hard look at both sides of the issues at hand by mid afternoon, you can create a firm foundation of greater understanding and allow you to cruise through the rest of the day. I'll give today a 5 at best unless you take the bull by the horns.
March 13
Saturday night fever will suddenly end as the Moon enters the more subdued and placid sign of Taurus at about 1 AM. The hoopla of last night will just peter out and end on a more serene note. There is not much astrological activity until 3 PM when a very nice position of Uranus urges people to get out in nature and seek freedom of movement. Sunday is a perfect day for this, so I'll give today a 9!
March 14
Today is a very astrologically active day. The early morning hours will see a rare placement of Jupiter and Neptune where opportunity and vision will be in harmony and the spirit will be content. This is actually of longer duration than just this one day. It has, and will continue to permeate the middle weeks of March--it just peaks today. However, as we wake up, I wouldn't think too much about finances if you don't have to because the thoughts will be somewhat unrealistic. By mid afternoon, physical comfort and material gain will be evident. However, as evening begins one may feel envy about the material wealth that others have gained. If you are still working about 7 PM, there will be an opportunity to smooth over any rough edges with co-workers or clients, so take advantage of it if you need to. By the time you retire for the night, it will look like the activity as of late will have been worth the effort. Enjoy this as long as you can. I'll give today only a 7 because of the energy mix.
March 15
The opportunity for harmonious action will come too early for most of us to take advantage of, but it will likely make for lively dreams! At about 8:45 AM, the Moon goes into the indecisive sign of Gemini and will be the major focus (or lack of it) for the day. It will be a chatty day, but I wouldn't expect too much to come out of it unless you are a professional communicator. By late evening, communications will get more difficult, so I wouldn't try to say anything of great importance or it may be misunderstood. Today only gets a 4.
March 16
Today is quite a contrast from yesterday. Easy communications and good common sense (if you possess it to begin with) will make the morning and early afternoon hours pleasant. As we leave work on the east coast, a sense of peace and domestic harmony will enrich us. We worked well today and want to enjoy the fruits of our labors. Easy communication of our visions and goals for the future will make for a lively evening and fitting end to a pleasant day. Today deserves an 8.
March 17
Happy Saint Patrick's Day! However, yesterdays energy would have been better today if you celebrate it. Here in the Boston area, it is a pretty big day. As people get up and head for work, there will be an uneasiness and nervousness in the air. Sensitivity towards our loved ones will make for some tense moments. About 2:20 PM the 1st Quarter Moon will carry a call to action where we can feel the need to move on our short-term goals and clean up our act in both the physical as well as psychological areas of life. As the yearly astrological cycle comes to an end on the 20th, you would do well to listen to the call and answer it by getting organized any way you can. By 7:45 PM, the Moon will enter the sensitive sign of Cancer. Now the organizing will become more intense in the domestic area. Of course, you could just go out an celebrate St. Patty's Day! However, t today only gets a 5.
March 18
If you are still up from the night before at about 1AM, don't get too attached to the new potential love you met that night, because an unrealistic placement of the Moon can make things look better than they actually are. For the rest of us, the time leading up to lunch will enhance our intuitive and psychic abilities, so look into your life, because there are hints about the upcoming astrological year for you. By the end of the day, these visions will become tainted by our now more agitated, and less reliable mentality. Today gets a 6 because of the uneasy feelings that are underlying.
March 19
Luckily, most of us will be sleeping about 3:45 AM when a poor placement of Jupiter brings a laziness and lack of enthusiasm that lasts most of the morning. By about 1 PM, Saturn joins the Moon and may bring out feelings of inadequacies that can lead to caution and stinginess. At about 5 PM, this energy will release somewhat, helping to make for last minute preparations for the new astrological year tomorrow morning. Today is the day to fully let go of the useless physical and psychological baggage that has accumulated this past year and throw them into the symbolic (or real) bonfire. By 7:15 PM, Mercury will go Retrograde (backwards). As I have explained in other writings in the last several years, I find that Retrograde periods are actually helpful, rather than just something to be dreaded. These periods of seeming backward moving energy give us time to mull over things and make changes and corrections before the forward movement begins again. For Mercury, this 3-week period will let us connect our physicality with our spirit so as to give this new astrological year the best chance of being productive. Mercury (mentality) is our link between the physical and the spiritual, so we should take advantage of this grace period. However, because of the mix, today only gets a 6. You can make it better today depending on what you do with it!
March 20
If you were up late (about 2:20 AM) this last connection of the Moon to Venus will make a pleasant entrance into the Spring Equinox which occurs at 7:34 AM EST. Get up early (on the east coast) and let your intentions be known as the new birth begins--"timing is everything." 25 minutes later, indulging yourself will be easy and desirable, but don't let the potential for quarrelling with loved ones get the best of you. 20 minutes after that, the Moon moves into the flamboyant Leo, where demonstrative behavior can get you in trouble. Use this Moon sign position (for the next 2 days) to propagate your creative endeavors rather than becoming a display of your ego. The same time the Moon enters Leo, it also makes a good connection to the Sun which can allow the creative work to blossom. By 1 PM, Mars moves into the dynamic and crackling sign of Aquarius until about April 30. During this time, sudden and unexpected occurrences will drive you to take selfless actions. During today's morning hours and culminating at lunch time, positive communications will be easy to achieve. Mid afternoon will be very creative and bring with it opportunities for enjoyment with your loved ones. If you can, use this time well because by the time early evening comes around we will more likely want to escape into more intense egocentric concerns. Saturn will move Direct (forward) at about 10 PM. Each day from now until November, business concerns will move increasingly more rapidly as we apply what we have learned in the last 5 months of Retrograde time. By the Summer Solstice (June 21), new ground will have been covered, discovered, and integrated. In spite of these glowing accolades, today only gets a 7.
March 21
Easy and positive communication will mark the morning hours and culminate during lunch time. Mid afternoon will be very creative and with opportunities for enjoyment with our loved ones. If you can, use this time well because by early evening one will more likely want to escape into more egocentric concerns. Saturn will move Direct (forward) again at about 10 PM. Each day from now until November, business concerns will move increasingly more rapidly and obviously as you apply what you have learned in the last several months of the Retrograde period (Backwards). By the Summer Solstice (June 21) new ground will be discovered and integrated. Today gets a 7.
March 22
Egotistical outbursts my well lead to creative solutions in spite of the resentment people will feel as the day begins. When Venus moves into Aries at about 11:30 AM (until mid April) people will start becoming more assertive and possibly forceful in their relations with others. This tendency will be mitigated somewhat as the Moon moves into the more practical and understated Virgo at about 8:10 PM. This could also unleash a torrent of nitpicking and finicky behavior to end the day. Today only gets a 4.
March 23
There is not much astrological activity today until early afternoon, when a stressful connection of Uranus prompts restlessness and irritability. The urge to clean up unresolved issues, as well as to get our homes and offices organized, will be strong. Today, we may be haunted by our "old obsessions". Unfortunately, this day only gets a 4 like yesterday (or a 6 if you like cleaning).
March 24
This is a good day for business and financial plans, particularly around the middle point of the day. There will be plenty of helpful energy around enabling us to accomplish organizational changes inwardly and outwardly. However, by about 7:30 PM we may be plagued by nervous outbursts. By the time we retire and go off to sleep, tensions will have subsided. Today gets a 6.
March 25
Early morning hours will become increasingly better, as tensions between relationship partners lessen, especially after the Moon moves into the diplomatic and social sign of Libra around 6 AM. A general sense of altruism and hope for the future will be boosted by a good placement of Mars. This culminates about 12:45 PM, leaving us feeling like we can definitely make a difference through our actions. Even though it may be a bit difficult to express our feelings this afternoon, as the Full Moon approaches at about 4 PM, the energy should be quite high, making this evening a lively one. It should be one of those characteristic "howling at the Moon" evenings. So, be careful of other peoples driving because there will most likely be more accidents than usual. I think it will be a very good day, so I give it an 8.
March 26
When we awake on the east coast, there is a possibility that we will feel somewhat drained, as if we didn't get enough sleep. Things gradually get better as the morning progresses. At 10 AM, Jupiter will connect with the Moon at the same declination, amplifying our emotions, for better or worse. Hopefully, you won't be greatly disturbed, but instead feel socially optimistic and generous, leaving you feeling emotionally renewed--it could go either way depending on your general state of mind at the time. The afternoon will be marked by optimism for the future, and is a good time for planning your long-term goals. The evening will be marked by a slight lack of emotional flexibility, so just try to go with the flow and not ruin a good Saturday night. Pluto goes Retrograde tonight until early September, giving us a chance to make sure that the long-term directions we have set out upon are really the right ones for us. I'll give today a 7.
March 27
Easter Sunday - The morning hours will float by on a somewhat even kneel until the Moon moves into the intense sign of Scorpio at about 1:30 PM. General tensions will be strong for a couple of hours until we get used to the change of intensity a bit. However, anyone still awake a 9 PM will notice a decrease in defensiveness, and see an upsurge in irritability and argumentativeness which peaks a little after 11 PM. Don't say anything you will regret later--it is hard to sleep when you are angry. This day gets a 5.
March 28
Upon arising, there can be a sense of feeling like a deer caught in the headlights. This will dissipate by the time most of us reach work. It will be a high tension day with the Moon still in Scorpio, but less aggravating. Focus will slowly diminish and pretty much dissipate by about 7:30 PM as a Neptune transit triggers escapist tendencies. Let things go, and don't try to fight it. Today gets a 5 because it is a Monday.
March 29
Today will prove to be a very busy and productive day. The Sun, Mercury, and Venus are in an unusual alignment where people may feel more "together" than usual, particularly as the day progresses. By the time the Moon moves into Sagittarius about 7 PM, we may feel quite inspired and talkative. It will be a good evening to spend with the opposite sex. Today should be very nice, so it gets an 8.
March 30
This is a very full astrological day with many positive connections. This translates into a good relationship day on all levels with only mildly erratic energy mid morning. The rest of the day should feel pretty good, where people feel that anything they want can be obtained. Reach for the stars! I'd say it will be a 9.
March 31
Try to live off the positive energy created yesterday because it will be different today. Although the bombastic energy of early afternoon will be disconcerting, good is likely to come out of it. Around 11 PM, the Moon moves into the more sedate Capricorn, where we will get down to serious pursuits for a few days. Overall, it shouldn't be too bad, so it gets a 6.
